The Letter of the Day is V...
for Vendetta.I went this past weekend with MSU to see this movie. Let me say that it was at once so much more and so much less than I expected. I am a fan of the original comic from Alan Moore and David Lloyd, and sadly I was expecting the Wachowski brothers to have turned this great story into nothing more than a special effects action fest.
Granted, at times I did see the knife sticking out the back of what I consider an amazing story. However, what the Wachowski brothers did was make the story more relevant to the world we live in today. Let's face it, much of what I saw in that movie I can equate to something going on today.
While the movie isn't the strictest adaptation of the comic, it is a timely one. It is an absolutely beautiful movie and I highly recommend it to everyone I know.
One final note, I think I am in love. Natalie Portman gave an amazing performance. Natalie, if you somehow happen to read this, will you marry me?
